Afternoon care teachers ensure that each child gets the best possible care, love and attention they deserve. Security is a priority and the on-going goal at Afternoon Care is to provide a home away from home, giving the children an opportunity to socialize, develop their social skills as well as to develop physical skills on the wide variety of activities available. The Afternoon Care strives to make each child feel happy, safe, loved and accepted.
The daily schedule provides structure and routine. It includes time for lunch, homework, games and extracurricular activities. Highlights of the schedule:
Sports, Extracurricular Activities, Games
The afternoon teachers are there to help the children with their homework. The aim is for the children to try to complete their tasks themselves as much as possible and only report problems if they have difficulties.
After homework, children have the opportunity to play, read or take part in extracurricular activities.
The pick-up time for the 1st graders is at 3 p.m. sharp. Children in second to sixth grade can be picked up from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. The meeting point is at the roundabout at the entrance area.
We provide an environment where our children develop into empathetic, self-directed, critical thinkers who don’t give up when faced with challenges.
