The DBSAA has teamed up with Addis International Catering to provide students and teachers with lunch every day.
Sandwiches, snacks and cakes are offered for breakfast. A selection of hot lunches is sold from 12 noon onwards and students can choose between salad, an Ethiopian dish, a dish with meat or a vegetarian dish. Additionally there is a different kind of dessert on offer every day.
The kindergarten is also provided with a healthy menu adapted for small children by our catering company. Our youngest children are given a main course and dessert (fruit salad, sliced fruit, yoghurt, mousse, etc.).
The quality of the food on offer is regularly checked by a working group from the community of parents. This working group consists of members of the parents’ council, the administration and Addis International Catering.

Together with the Amole Dashen Bank, the DBSAA has introduced a system for cashless payment of food and drinks in the cafeteria. Every student and employee can have an ID card made in the administration. All that is required is a passport photo and the completion of a form by the parents. Parents can then deposit money into the children’s virtual account at the Amole terminal in the schoolyard and no longer need to give them cash.
The ID card can also be used to purchase school materials in the administration without cash.

Additional offer
In cooperation with the “Verein Kinderheim SELAM Ethiopia” we can offer different products in the school every Tuesday from 11:00 to 14:00 o’clock. The offer ranges from additional snacks for the students to salad and homemade cheesecake.
