On the last day before the Easter vacations, the kindergarten of the German Embassy School Addis Ababa went on a special excursion to the German Protestant Church in Addis Ababa. An excursion that was all about the upcoming Easter celebrations. A child-friendly, early Easter service took place in the inviting church. With songs, stories and short prayers, the children were introduced to the meaning of Easter in a playful and sensitive way. After the service, the children went into the church garden with beaming faces, where the next surprise was already waiting: a colorful Easter egg hunt! The little explorers swarmed out and searched among the flower beds, bushes and trees for the hidden treasures. There was great joy when the first colorful eggs and small sweets were found. The DBSAA kindergarten children spent a wonderful morning on the church grounds and then said goodbye for the vacations with their Easter baskets.
