Am vergangenen Donnerstag verwandelte sich das Schulgel\u00e4nde der Deutschen Botschaftsschule Addis Abeba in einen Ort gelebter Vielfalt und kultureller Neugier. Beim Deutsch-\u00c4thiopischen Begegnungstag stand alles im Zeichen des Miteinanders, der Kreativit\u00e4t und des kulturellen Austauschs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schon am Vormittag herrschte gesch\u00e4ftiges Treiben auf dem Schulhof und in den Klassenr\u00e4umen: Sch\u00fclerinnen und Sch\u00fcler aller Jahrgangsstufen nahmen an verschiedensten Projekten teil, die deutsche und \u00e4thiopische Traditionen auf spannende Weise miteinander verbanden. Ob T\u00f6pfern, F\u00e4rben, Werken, Tanzen oder Kochen \u2013 \u00fcberall wurde ausprobiert, gelacht, gestaltet und gestaunt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In der T\u00f6pferwerkstatt entstanden kunstvolle Gef\u00e4\u00dfe und Figuren, w\u00e4hrend beim F\u00e4rben mit nat\u00fcrlichen Pigmenten bunte Stoffe leuchteten und in der Werkstatt Vorgelh\u00e4user gebaut wurden. Der Duft aus der Schulk\u00fcche zog derweil durch das gesamte Schulhaus \u2013 gemeinsam wurden traditionelle \u00e4thiopische und deutsche Gerichte zubereitet, probiert und stolz pr\u00e4sentiert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ein besonderes Highlight des Tages war das gemeinsame Abschlussfest mit der gesamten Schulgemeinschaft, bei dem die Ergebnisse der Projekte vorgestellt wurden und Eltern stolz die Werke ihrer Kinder begutachten konnten. In einer bunten Ausstellung und mit musikalischen Darbietungen und kulinarischer Vek\u00f6stlichung zeigten die Sch\u00fclerinnen und Sch\u00fcler, was sie gelernt und geschaffen hatten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last Thursday, the campus of the German Embassy School Addis Ababa transformed into a place of lived diversity and cultural curiosity. During the German-Ethiopian Cultural Exchange Day, everything revolved around togetherness, creativity, and cultural exchange. Already in the morning, the schoolyard and classrooms were filled with lively activity: students of all grade levels took part in various projects that combined German and Ethiopian traditions in exciting ways. Whether pottery, dyeing, crafts, dancing, or cooking \u2013 everywhere there was experimenting, laughing, creating, and marveling. In the pottery workshop, artistic vessels and figures were created, while in the dyeing corner, brightly colored fabrics shone with natural pigments, and birdhouses were built in the crafts area. The delicious aroma from the school kitchen filled the entire building \u2013 students and teachers cooked traditional Ethiopian and German dishes together, tasted them, and proudly presented the results. A special highlight of the day was the final celebration with the entire school community, where the project results were showcased and parents proudly admired their children\u2019s creations. Through a colorful exhibition, musical performances, and culinary delights, the students demonstrated what they had learned and achieved.
