The new DBSAA playground

In 2022, the playground in front of the primary school was redesigned at the request of the primary school teachers. The concept was to create two zones of different character: active and noisy near the entrance area and rather quiet and shielded in the rear part. In addition, emphasis was placed on the use of natural materials such as wood and bricks.

The centrepiece of the playground is the climbing tower with integrated slide, which is located in a large sand pool. Here, children dig and build and, thanks to the water connection, muddy around.

There is also an Indian tent, where pupils from higher grades often find shelter. The crawl tunnel under a grassy hill was designed by primary school pupils and a “bird’s nest” around a tree trunk is still under construction. This, as well as almost all other components of the playground, were built by the school itself.
