Welcome to the German Embassy School Addis Ababa.
Our school looks back on a history of more than 90 years of excellence in education. During this time, we have remained dedicated to our core values of individual learning, respect, responsibility and community.
As Head of School, I am particularly pleased to lead an extremely engaged team of educators who are committed to the well-being of our students from kindergarten through to the upper school. The good work of our team is not only reflected in the excellent performance of our students, but also in the fact that our former students are successful in their future careers at universities and in their professions.
Our passionate teachers work closely with students in small groups to support their specific needs and nurture their potential. We believe in the holistic development of our students and support them through a blend of academic rigor and caring student-centered pedagogy that includes enrichment activities such as the arts, athletics and service learning, among others. As a result, our students consistently meet high standards while becoming compassionate, environmentally conscious people around the world.
Outside of the classroom, we have a vibrant school culture where students, parents, alumni and faculty come together. Our community is close-knit, diverse and committed to the success of every child.
I invite you to explore our website and learn more about our school’s programs, services and community. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We look forward to speaking with you personally to find the best fit for your child.
We see each child as special and unique with their own strengths, talents, interests, needs and learning styles. Our role is to nurture and empower each child’s individuality and self-confidence.
